Gerard W. Cournoyer

Gerard W. Cournoyer, 80, of Woonsocket, died February 24, 2026 in Valley View Nursing Home, Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Normand and Doris (Lamontagne) Cournoyer.

Gerard worked as a taxi driver for Standard Taxi, also having worked in area textile mills. In his spare time, he also loved doing puzzles.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin Cournoyer of Providence; his brothers, Andre Cournoyer of Woonsocket and Robert Cournoyer of Westford; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Donald, Emile, Roger and Normand Cournoyer.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket.
