Jeanne Ryan Obituary

Jeanne E. (Pelland) Ryan, 90, of North Smithfield, died February 8, 2026 in St. Antoine Residence. Born in Barton, VT, she was the daughter of the late Raoul and Annette (Blair) Pelland.

Jeanne was a bookkeeper for Woonsocket Sponge and Randix Corporation, a dental assistant for Dr. Picard, and sales associate for Marion's Sew & Vac. She loved the theater, and volunteered for Trinity Theater, and PPAC for over 30 years.

She leaves her children, Walter Ryan and his wife, Lynne, of Canterbury, NH, Kathleen Strojny of Burrillville, Joyce Sullivan and her husband, Christopher, of Chester, NH and Michael Ryan and his wife, Robyn, of Sudbury, MA; her brother, Roland Pelland of Attleboro; her sister, Irene Marie, PMS of Manchester, NH; ten grandchildren, Jessica Kuhns, Stephen Halliday, Emily Mulhern, Jonathan and Joshua Strojny, Liam, Aidan and Devin Sullivan, and Molly and Maggy Ryan; her great grandson, River Kuhns; and her nephew, Jeffrey Pelland. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Halliday, and her brother, Romeo Pelland.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, beginning with visitation from 8-9 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham.
